Julie Stuff

I was born in Provo, UT and lived there for only a few short years before my family moved to West Jordan, UT, where I grew up and where my parents still live today. I loved growing up in Utah, nestled between the beautiful Oquirrh Mountains to the west and the amazing Rocky Mountains to the east. Any outdoor activity you could enjoy was just a short drive away, and as a family we loved to hike, camp, swim, and bike, among many other things.
When I got a little bit older I discovered that I loved playing volleyball. I tried out for the high school team as a freshman, made the team, and continued to play for the next four years. I loved every minute of it! Throughout high school I also participated in choir, the National Honor Society, and Peer Leadership Team (a group aimed at teaching kids about drug prevention). I also got my first job working as a bagger at Macey’s grocery store. However, it cut into my volleyball/fun time and that job only lasted about 8 months.
When I graduated I decided to head to Ricks College in Rexburg, ID. I finished my first year of school there and then chose to stay closer to home and continue my education at the local community college. While attending school part-time I got a job working in a warehouse with a bunch of guys. It was a little intimidating at first being the only girl, but I ended up loving the job and in the two years I spent there I made some really good friends that I still keep in contact with today.
When I turned 21 and still hadn’t finished school, I felt it was time to move away from home again and get serious about getting my degree. I headed north to Utah State University and am so glad I did. I worked hard for two more years at my schooling, meanwhile working part-time at State Farm Insurance. Graduation finally arrived and I received a Bachelor’s Degree in English-Technical Writing. I continued working at State Farm, where I still work to this day.
Just when I felt my life was getting stagnant and that I may need to move for a change of pace, I met the funniest, cutest guy. I never had a second thought as to whether or not I liked him. It was instant for me. This was it, I could tell. We dated only a couple months before we knew we would be married, and within 6 months of meeting we were saying “I do”. I can’t put into words how happy Josh makes me and how much better my life is with him in it. He has introduced me to so many exciting new things, including cycling, rock climbing, travel, and exotic foods. I have truly been enriched by his influence. He is the perfect match for me and we have so much fun together. I love him so much!
Since our marriage we have continued to live in Logan, UT and hope to be able to stay here indefinitely. Who knows where life will ultimately take us, but as long as we’re together, that’s all that matters. Our biggest goal right now is to begin our family and welcome a beautiful child into our home.  I grew up with an incredible family and have always wanted to continue to add branches to the family tree by raising an incredible family of my own. Our home has always been one of love and happiness, and we hope to share that love and happiness with our own children as our family grows.
